Sanitary facilities

We offer luxury sanitary facilities with showers, a toilet, washing machine & dryer, and a changing table for infants. These are open all year long and usage is included in the fees. For washing machine & dryer you can buy tokens (€ 5.00/piece) at our port office. 

Electricity 

We have recently renewed our electricity meters and sockets on the pontoons (220V - 16A - EG plug). 

32 A is also available. If you wish to use a 32 A connection, you need to request this before entering our marina; 

Water supply 

Water can be used free of charge. During the winter season of 15 November til 1 April, the water supply is shut off. However, one point always remains available for water supply, situated by the Kapellebrug. 

Waste bins:

We have a recycling park situated at the Kapellebrug. To gain access, you can require a chip card at the port office. 

In the recycling park, containers are provided for PMD, carton, glass and residual waste.  

Waiting Pontoon:

The waiting pontoon is situated in front of the entrance to the Mercator lock (on the outside of the pontoon which is situated parallel to the Churchill dock). Owing to the tidal nature of the harbour, the pontoon may be used as a temporary berth while waiting for the next lock opening. 

Perfect location right in the center of Ostend:

The Mercator Marina is right in the center of the city, next to the biggest shopping street in Ostend, the “Kapellestraat”, and 50m from a large supermarket conveniently situated by the harbour (50m).
