From 25 January, harbour masters began removing all boats moored near Onze-Lieve-Vrouwe College. This operation is necessary in order to remove and install new lifting posts and pontoons between Kapellebrug Bridge and the Puerto meeting room.

From 9 February, the pontoons will be removed by the Mercator and RNSYC team, assisted by employees of the Ostend municipal workshops.

From week 10 (early March), all pontoons will be removed so that the lifting posts can be removed and replaced with seven new posts.

The installation of the new pontoons will begin on 9 March. The work is scheduled to be completed in mid-April.
